475,000 Tonnes Safely Removed from Circulation
Hazardous waste is increasing globally as industries grow, products become more complex, and chemicals are used in more parts of everyday life. If toxic waste is not handled properly, it can contaminate water, soil, and air – harming people and ecosystems and preventing materials from being safely reused.
A safe circular economy therefore depends on removing hazardous substances from circulation. At NG Nordic, pollution prevention means identifying, isolating, and safely treating hazardous waste, so it does not spread into the environment or re-enter material loops.
We do this through specialized treatment solutions. High-temperature thermal processes destroy toxic substances, while advanced industrial wastewater treatment removes dangerous contaminants and returns clean water for reuse.
In 2025, we removed 475,000 tonnes of hazardous waste from circulation through specialized treatment solutions. This waste often contains substances such as heavy metals, PFAS, and solvents, and if unmanaged, can pose long-term risks to both human health and ecosystems.
Our hazardous waste treatment facilities are aligned with the EU Taxonomy criteria, recognizing pollution prevention as critical environmental infrastructure.
By increasing the amount of hazardous waste that we safely treat each year, we help protect ecosystems, reduce pollution, and make circular systems safer.
