NG Nordic acquires Kuljetusrinki Oy – strengthens its position in circular economy and waste management services in the Helsinki metropolitan area

NG Nordic, the largest provider of circular solutions and environmental services in the Nordics, has agreed to acquire the entire share capital of Kuljetusrinki Oy, a circular economy company operating in the Helsinki metropolitan area. With this acquisition, NG Nordic strengthens its position as a provider of comprehensive waste management services in the Helsinki metropolitan area.

Kuljetusrinki Oy is a family-owned company that has been operating in the market since 1989, providing waste management services to industry, the construction and real estate sectors, and the retail sector. It handles 40,000 tons of materials annually. The company has a turnover of EUR 10.5 million and have 31 dedicated employees.

Kuljetusrinki operates Finland's most modern waste treatment center, which utilizes artificial intelligence and a robotics-based sorting line that will enable even more efficient waste sorting and recycling in the future. This means that waste from the capital region and surrounding municipalities can be increasingly directed towards industrial reuse of materials instead of energy recovery.

"The acquisition supports our Nordic growth strategy and is NG Nordic's first in Finland under the ownership of Summa Equity. We want to offer our customers in the capital region faster, higher-quality, and more comprehensive waste management services. Kuljetusrinki is our long-term partner, and their expertise and capabilities perfectly complement our current service offering," says Kalle Saarimaa, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at NG Nordic.

The completion of the transaction is subject to the necessary regulatory approvals and the fulfillment of customary conditions. The transaction is expected to be completed in March 2026.

Kuljetusrinki will continue to operate under its own name as a separate limited company for the time being. The transaction will not affect Kuljetusrinki's existing customer agreements, and operations will continue as usual. The personnel of Kuljetusrinki will continue their employment with the company.

"We are proud of what Kuljetusrinki has built over the years. NG Nordic's strong background and Nordic operating model provide us with a framework for further growth, responding to tightening regulations, and developing our services more extensively. The beneficiaries of this acquisition are our customers," says Markus Närhi, Managing Director of Kuljetusrinki Oy.
